love this piece!! the algorithm rewards sameness and conformity but ultimately it makes us into a homogenous blob of forgettable content. being yourself through trial and error is less aesthetic but way more rewarding 🩷
the part about copying taste vs copying format is something i’ve been trying to articulate for so long. formats evolve, that’s fine. But when someone copies your specific way of seeing:- your references, your tone, your aesthetic language…that’s a different thing entirely. Glad someone finally said it this clearly.
